Here's an idea. Why not go to their website and look for something that says "contact us"?

Yeah, but I want something like 'complain@microsoft.com'.

"Contact Us" is msconus@microsoft.com but I don't know about a dedicated complaints address

What's the problem, anyway?

Windows sucks, that's the problem.

Windows sucks, that's the problem.
If you just send "Windows Sucks", not only will you be wasting their time, but you'll be wasting yours as well. Companies, like individuals, don't like hearing general complaints like "you suck". Give specific examples backed up by reasons (and possibly data). This way MS will actually take it seriously.

If you are just trying to be funny, it's not working.

Eh, for me it is. I actually laughed out loud reading that. "Windows sucks, that's the problem." Pure gold.

I have to agree with grapes on this one.

By the way, you're talking to someone who sent some positive feedback to MS

I suck

Very insightful first post

Sorry, but I'm afraid the "Windows Sucks" inbox is full. You're going to have to wait for the "Vista Sucks" address.

I doubt Microsoft promote their complaints address, for obvious reasons...

But I do tip off my hat to you.

I am not the 'I hate koree guy', I happen to know this 'koree' and he told me about the 'i hate koree' fiasco. Quite frankly I was appalled, Koree is my friend. After I read some of the 'i hate koree' stuff I wanted to make an account named in the stylings of Grounds Keeper Willy, when Bart is looking for Santa's Little helper, I thought it was a funny name, but it might not be that good.

I didn't intend to say "Windows Sucks", I just wanted to say that the registry is a horrible way of storing things. I wanted to suggest that they remove the registry from the system, and keep a pseudo-registry to support legacy apps. The registry is a mess. Who came up with the idea to store everything in a hard to access file that makes you tired every time you edit it. Mac OS X's defaults system is wonderful, it's easy to find the prefs file and delete/edit as needed.

And Windows sucks is not a joke, it is a fact.

Actually, the registry is a good way of storing things. Its the companies that make software that don't know HOW to use the registry that causes all the problems...

In your opinion. But lets face it-- WinXP and Win2K may be overpriced but taken care of they work decently well. Not as good as OS X (too much of a Maccie to admit otherwise) but they work for some people, and some people don't know that it isn't working.

I agree. If used properly, the registry can be a powerful tool. It is great to store information that the user does not need to see. It is also great for allowing tweaks that the common user doesn't need. There are two big problems with it. (1) Most users don't know how to use it. (2) Most software developers don't know how to use it. I wouldn't change it.

True, but it allows to many companies/individuals to be sloppy. Worse yet it allows companies/individuals to do down right nastey things with it. The system should enforce a strict set of rules to prevent bad/malicious values from being added to the registry.

It's pretty much the consensus on slashdot, so I wouldn't have gotten half the crap there that I have gotten here.

It's funny that right after a post on proper English, Mechcozmo uses a small piece of bad grammar, you pluralized yourself. Note that this is not an attack; it is just something that I find funny.

I have a lot of complaints.

Bill is the most spammed (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/4023667.stm) person, and I'm pretty sure that he receives tons of "You suck", "Windows sucks" and alike emails.. so don't waste your time.

Do a web search.. Bill's email address is even referenced in some coding examples on the Microsoft website, so it shouldn't be hard to find it. A good point to start would be http://www.sellsbrothers.com/fun/msiview/.
