Just purchased a new 2012 Air 13 to replace my 2009 Pro 15 - so far really loving it, although I am still thinking of the rMBP!
Anyways, I noticed that if I close the lid to sleep when I open the lid the only way to get the display to wake is with the power button and it is then immediately on.
I tried changing this setting in terminal but it did not seem to have any affect.
Any ideas? No big deal, just curious.
