I have a very strange problem. For the past three or so weeks I've been working on a research project. I kept all of my sources in a particular folder. Then yesterday, I tried to open that folder and it had magically turned into an alias. The alias link was broken, and the sources were nowhere to be found on my computer. Spotlight searches turned up nothing. I use Time Machine, and TM has no record of the folder ever existing in whole. All records have been turned to a simple folder alias, and historical searches for the files are turning up nothing.
