Howdy all. I haven't seen this problem adressed, and if it has, please direct me to the relevant thread.

On my Mac at work, I have MacPorts, ffmpeg and other open-source packages installed (mostly via MacPorts using the Terminal) and for the most part, they do what I want them to.

They take f..o..r..e..v..e..r to install and selfupdate, perhaps because I'm on a WiFi connection on a Windows LAN which is on DSL to the internet.

Now that they _are_ installed on that computer, is there a way to copy the installed files to a USB key and install them on my own iBook at home, thereby avoiding unnecessary repetition of band width? I would also like to install them to my son's iMac if possible.

TIA for any input.
Cheers.... SP
