Hi

Was planning on getting a 13" air (base) with 8GB of ram in the next few days

I just thought I would check with the more knowledgable just to check that this model will be able to cope with mainly safari, occasional COD MW, and occasional FCPX?

Thanks Will

Also is apple care worth it?

Not too sure about whether it'll run CoD very well or not, but I wouldn't like to buy a new Mac without the extended AppleCare warranty with it.

Their aftersales service with this package is top notch, any problems you have with the machine within the cover period are sorted out quickly and at no cost by apple.

Last time I checked, the AppleCare for a MBA was £199 (around $250???), which is a bargain for 3 years of free repairs, especially when you consider the prices they charge if you need to pay for these repairs yourself.
