You'll have time to read up on Apple Care and whether it is worth it or not, during the first year.

It won't be the best but it will be able to handle it. FCP might be pushing it if you're using large HD files but I've never tried so I may be wrong.

Not too sure about whether it'll run CoD very well or not, but I wouldn't like to buy a new Mac without the extended AppleCare warranty with it.

Their aftersales service with this package is top notch, any problems you have with the machine within the cover period are sorted out quickly and at no cost by apple.

Last time I checked, the AppleCare for a MBA was £199 (around $250???), which is a bargain for 3 years of free repairs, especially when you consider the prices they charge if you need to pay for these repairs yourself.

bhphoto sells applecare the cheapest around. just make sure its the right one for the device you have
