The idea of clouds have been around for years now. Apple's icloud is one of the most expensive options when you compare the main ones (google, microsoft, dropbox, etc). All I want to do with my iPhone is either a) have a nightly backup of my pictures and music to the cloud that I can access on my computer and/or b) as the pictures are taken, have them uploaded to the cloud where they will stay. I have no problem paying for a service like this.

So, the most obvious answer seems to be photostream- This is great; as soon as you take pics they are in the photostream that you can view on your PC. Well, yes, but only for 30 days. That's useless, I might as well plug my phone into my PC and just move the pics over once a month.

There is also a 'backup all info' option that works on a nightly basis. The only (large) problem with this is that once you backup pictures, even though they are on the cloud, you are unable to view them anywhere.

So I looked at other options- SkyDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox. All of these different providers offer cloud storage and iPhone apps, but none of them automatically backup pics or music to the cloud which is disappointing.

Have any of you guys felt like this is a large flaw in cloud storage? I feel like for such a simple thing, no cloud service seems to provide this.

tl;dr- I can't seem to find a cloud option that automatically backs up pics/music to the cloud for a permanent period, that is viewable on both the iphone and my PC.
