As much as I love Metz flashes, I would not mix brands if I could help it. Maybe a lesser Nikon as a second flash?

Nikon it is then. I just found out who the Australian distributor of Metz is - CR Kennedy.

They are enough to scare me away.:eek::eek:

The Metz flash I had (and barely used) for my Olympus didn't even last 2 years before it started malfunctioning on me. I won't buy another one.

Thanks for the advice, I got an SB-910 today for a lower price than advertised - I'm very happy with it on first impressions. It works nearly the same as the 900, but has some useful improvements, the battery door being excluded.

Apart from that, picked up a whole lot of Eneloops to replace the dodgy batteries I had before.
