MacBook Air for Video Editing

Is the new Air, fully decked out with 256GB SSD, 8GB Ram, and i7 powerful enough to run Premiere Pro CS6 or Final Cut Pro X for simple video capture / basic editing?
 
I use a 2011 MBA with 4 GB and the i7 with Final Cut Pro X
It works it pretty good, but it gets the job done for me
