Dear forum maintainers, I would like to propose a very simple change which IMHO can dramatically improve the quality of the voting system. Please remove the ability to downvote posts, instead leaving us only the option to upvote posts.

It is basic psychology, really. People are much quicker to criticize something then to agree with something, and this is the basic reason why downvoting does not work that well. The posts are often downvoted by people who simply have a different opinion or simply didn't read or understood the post that well. In addition, downvoting has a negative feel to it, which does not help to improve the social climate on the forums.

In constrast, posts are usually upvoted because they have some sort of useful or interesting information.

Thanks.
