Is anyone aware of this technology? Is this something that Steve Jobs plans to offer on the Mac OS X? The video demonstration was very cool looking, it reminded me of the demonstrations that Steve gave using Keynote.

been around for a while now, looks promising, but who knows where it will end up going, as it is right now the usability isnt all that great from what i have heard. its been mentioned a few times on the forums before too..... but it could possibly be the direction that the GUI is going to go, or not, its not the most practical method for everyone

it has a mid 90s feel to it i think, but if the graphics were smoother, better looking, then it would be sweet. i really like the switching desktops thing. just drag your screen to the left/right and you have a whole nother desktop you can just drag back and forth

As said, it has been around for a while..............just hope that Steve would adopt some of it but make it WAY better and nicer for Leopard ;)

Well, OS X is already incorporating some of these features. The preferences and info on the back of a window, for example, is how widgets work. I can easily see OS X.5 having all programs preference panes on the back of the window. The sticky note screenshot, to me, looks just like a dashboard sticky widget... hidden from view until you need it. The 3D effect with the video centered and browser/word processor tilted away looks alot like the new iChat Video interface as well.

The tiltes away windows to 'save space' while neat, I think is shabby compared to expose. With expose you can see the contents of the window, not just the name, which I find more imporatant.

Also, since OS X is STILL lacking virtual desktop support, it wouldn't be hard to see them implementing a panning method as mentioned on that first page.

So, pretty much, the future is here with OS X. ;-)

Seems like this project has been around forever, without really "taking off" or anything. Sun has some really neat features in this "OS" but I don't think it will stack up overall to OS X. Of course it's in early stages and all that, but I think Apple will still win over stability and user interface, despite the cool 3D stuff.
