Yeah, so my mom has my old G3 PowerMac and barely touches it because she doesn't know anything about it so I was thinking of getting her a book. Tiger of course, but I'm clueless about help books. She is fairly competent in Windows - well as competent as a 55 year old can be.
Thanks

My mother is much the same but she'd never read a manual voluntarily. I ended up bookmarking the Mac 101 (http://www.apple.com/support/mac101/) section on the Apple website as 'Help Me!' on her bookmark bar and taught her to go there when stuck.
She did read through some of the initial segments in any case. But now if she decides she wants to get started with Address Book, she goes to Mac 101 and gets the basics.
