Hope someone can help me. I've been having trouble printing PDFs, but only certain ones. Every so often I run across a PDF that, when I try to print it, I only get black boxes where the text should be. It's very frustrating, and I've probably wasted a lot of toner because of it.

BTW: I'm using Adobe 7 Standard and printing to an HP Laserjet 4100.

Check out Apple Knowlegde base, I saw something there recently.

Until then try using Preview to open & Print

What happens when you print them from Preview.app? I've had a few things that Preview handles well that Acrobat doesn't and vice-versa.

I actually haven't tried Preview (doh!). Will let you know how that goes.

I really can't post any of the troublemaking PDFs here. They're scientific articles that you need to have a subscription for to read.
