MacBook 6,1 Overheating fears and Applecare

Recently I have started using my MacBook for more processor intensive things (flight simulators, video editing, etc.) and it was becoming incredibly hot, so much so it was uncomfortable to hold. I installed smc fan control and it said the temp was running well over 200˚F, so now I keep the fan set running at max. Even then, the temp hovers around 180˚.
Questions:
1. Is it safe to keep the fan running this high all the time?
2. Are these temps safe for the computer?
3. If it overheats and damages the computer, will it be covered under Applecare?

You don't need to run SMCfancontrol. Those temperatures are normal for Apple laptops. If it does overheat it will turn off to prevent damage. In the unlikely event that it does this, it won't cause any damage. You will not harm the fan by keeping it running at full all the time, but you will notice a decrease in battery life.
