I'll find the specs a bit later, unless RacerX happens to find this thread, but I do know what OS these puppies run: NeXTSTEP. It's part of what Mac OS X is based on, and is very stable.

EDIT: Here's the specs for the NeXTStation Turbo Color: http://www.blackholeinc.com/specials/nextturbocolorspec.html

If they don't come with operating systems, you (the person who buys one) should keep Black Hole in mind. As I recall, Apple has given them permission to sell NEXTSTEP 3.3 (User CD only) at a discount for anyone with NeXT hardware that needs it (I think you would actually get a copy of NS 3.3 as they have gone through all their originals).

The Y2K patch for NS 3.3 (for both Intel based and NeXT hardware actually) can be found here (http://download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/MultiCountry/Enterprise/nextstep/patches/3.3/3.3_Patch_3/NS33CISCUserPatch3.tar).

Of course, you'll need a CD-ROM drive to do the installation, and these systems didn't come with them.

All of them should be able to handle OPENSTEP 4.2, but I've heard that it can be a little sluggish on 68040 processors. NEXTSTEP should run very nicely though.

Got any more pictures of your range? I would like to see more and find out more. Interesting machines and era of Steve's life.
