Hey, I just bought a MacBook Pro 2012 model 13" with 4GB RAM and 500 GB HD.
I would like to learn terminal language and I have absolutely no knowledge till date. Could anyone recommend a good book or a website that starts from the basics and goes towards the advanced levels?
Thanks

This could be a start:
An Absolute Beginner's Guide to the Terminal (http://www.macinstruct.com/node/47)
Simple Introduction To Apple’s Unix Using Terminal on OS X (http://www.lowfokus.com/2009/10/24/simple-introduction-to-apples-unix-using-terminal-on-os-x/)
Basic Terminal Commands for Mac OS X. (http://www.ihackintosh.com/2009/05/basic-terminal-commands-for-mac-os-x/)

Thanks for the links!
But they just included an explanation of what terminal is and small commands like ls and cd.
I actually want something that will help me get along step by step to advanced levels. Not those which leave you dry after an intro.
Thanks

There is an excellent book recommendation at the bottom of this thread:

However, be very careful messing around with terminal - you can wreck your system.

So books about UNIX for MAC OS X for Panther and Tiger will work for Lion as well??
