Password on mail app

Hi guys, just wanted to ask if it was possible to add a password to the Mail app on my mackbook. So if i ever lend a friend the laptop for a few minutes i want to be sure they wont be able to read my emails as theyd be asked for a password! Help would be appreciated :)

A Google search turned this application up. I've never used it so I can not vouch for it, but it seems to claim to do what you're asking.
