That's the technology assured then.

Porn helped make printing popular, it helped make movies popular, it helped make the internet popular...

The person who they took a quote from, Violet Blue, has been podcasting sex-awareness/ alt-lifestyle podcasts for quite some time now... at least a year I think.

there is "clean" sex education. i hope these "porncasters" would keep it clean and informative. if there is going to be people who want to "porncast" more sex than education, it has to be somehow regulated.

My hope is that they will keep the iPod clean. One item that it brought to mind was the cell phones are now offering a service to women. Something that would be a subscriber plan. It will let a women know her time of ovulation and so the best time to conceive.

Does it surprise you that M$(NBC) would try to steal some of apple's thunder?

if there is going to be people who want to "porncast" more sex than education, it has to be somehow regulated.
Why? The government regulates the airwaves because they're a public medium. They don't regulate anything that you have to pay to access, including cable TV and the internet.

The only reason the porn channels on cable aren't free is that the producers are using them to make money. It's not because of any government regulation.

Ditto for the porn web sites. They started out free, but quickly migrated to paid-subscripton (for anything beyond a few teaser pictures). This is because the owners want to get paid, not because of any kind of law.

The same will happen here. Any porncasts that are good enough to make people want to listen will quickly end up requiring paid subscriptions. Which will make it no different from the rest of the (unregulated) internet.

You'll see a few activists get all upset, the world will ignore them, and that will be the end of that.

haha, damn, well its not much of a surprise. But just like the Playboy Channel on XMRadio, I don't really see the appeal that much. Then again, I don't like talk radio in general.

But its quite a commentary on society - it would be quite entertaining if a sex theme podcast made it to the top 5 downloads :D
