Is anyone using ios6 on their normal day to day handset? If so, what are the risks involved? I'm using it on my iPhone 4 and have to say its running smooth for a beta.

I have tried all three betas on my iPhone 4 (before selling it), my new iPad, and most recently beta 3 on my new 4S.

I still find 5.1.1 to be 'zippier' than 6.0 on the 4S, and the gestures on the iPad (pinch to return to home screen) have stuttering animations at times. So, for me, it's not (obviously, it's beta software) primed for day to day use.

I'm back on 5.1.1 on both devices, and will remain so until the public iOS 6 release.

In my opinion iOS 6 beta on my iphone 4s is the best beta apple has ever released. At least in my phone it feels as fast as iOS 5 ever was. And having compared it to my wife iPhone 4S running 5.1 it is just as fast. And high end games like infinity blade 2 run as good as they did in ios 5. This was not the case with iOS 5 beta and high end games. Beta 1 was laggy, but since beta 2 it was much better.

i use it on my daily phone (4s) and it's been very solid. maps has issues for me with the screen freezing up (directions still work but the screen image never updates). everything else is pretty good especially since beta 2.

Using it on my iPad, which gets heavy day to day use.

Not on Phone. Maps and POI are too ****** for daily use.

I've got it on both my primary devices. Ipad and iPhone, but I did it to make sure my app doesn't bust.

It's really annoying on the phone due to battery life and heat issues. I would recommend waiting unless you have a compelling reason to run it now.

Beta 3 is much better behaved though.
