For sale: $700 shipped to continental USA only, sorry.
Averatec - 1 year warranty (~6 months left), free 24/7 phone support forever
AMD Athlon XP-M 2800+
512MB RAM
40GB HD
DVD+-RW
802.11G built-in
15" XGA (1024x768)
~4 hours battery life
Windows XP Home loaded (I just reformatted/installed. You can upgrade to SP2 through Windows Update, computer is clean so you can set it up how you want it)
Original box (beat up a little due to shipping, but it's fine)
Carrying case (specially made for this model)
Original restore CD's
It's in great condition. Few scratches on the top. Purely cosmetic, from laying books on top of it, etc. Nothing major. Little tiny chip above audio jack. Again nothing bad. One dead pixel in upper left of screen (dead as in off, pressure turns it to white).
Pictures are at: http://www.besthosted.com/averatec/
Thanks, please PM me if interested.

Ahaha. No. If I can't sell it now, I doubt I can sell it without an optical drive. :) :p
PRICE DROP AGAIN: $650 shipped. This is really good, try to configure another laptop with these specs that also comes with free 24/7 free phone support forever! This is as low as I will go unless you contact me and debate. Then I will think about it.

Just called. They said it's shared video. In the BIOS (F2 on startup) you can change it from 16, 32, or 64MB. I always had it on 32 and it played 3D games fine. Then I put it on 64 and it worked really good.

BUMP. Family PC died, so I would really like to either sell this or trade for something involving some type of Mac, preferably a Mac Mini, iMac G4 (or G5 :)), or PowerMac G4 (or G5 of course). Laptop would also be EXTREMELY nice. Maybe an older iBook G3+cash <--would love that.
A b/w G3+cash to make up the difference would work extremely well too. It would need to be able to run Tiger though, so 256+ RAM, etc. Not great, but enough for internet/office.
Thanks and I really hope someone has something so that I can replace my family comp.
Thanks again,
Ryan
EDIT:
Forgot to mention that if trade involves something like an iMac G4 that I won't need a monitor for (or a laptop) I can possibly include a 17" Samsung Syncmaster LCD. It's extremely nice and works great with the laptop in both mirroring and spanning!

What about a Beige G3 plus some cash for the book? It'll do Panther, and maybe Tiger with xPostfacto.

Hmm, I would consider that. What are the specs, and how much cash? PM me with info! Thanks!
Thanks to everyone else for the offers as well, keep them coming. A iBook G3 6/7/or 800 would be probably my top choice, or a PM G4 because their cheaper.
Thanks!

Thanks Lucky, I appreciate it! Thanks for the iBook battery help the other day too!
I would love to get Tiger running on here, but I refuse to download illegal torrents and the works. Not worth it when I have this awesome iBook. :)
I was thinking, if anyone has a cube that can run panther or Tiger (should be most of them maybe a RAM upgrade for Tiger), that a cube would be really nice as well!

Back from the dead. I'm seriously willing to negotiate on this heavily. Just please PM me or iChat me. It's easier to talk there, and keeps my deals in suspense. :D
I would trade for a Mac Mini (depending on specs, maybe even BOTTOM line older one).
Please PM me. For an outright selling price, I'm thinking $625 shipped, or perhaps lower if you bargain with me. SOMEONE contact me about this. I will be glad to sell it and will give you a good deal!
Thanks,
Ryan

Mac OS X for Intel requires SSE2. The Athlon XP and Athlon XP-M do not have SSE2.

Reanimation: Mac OS X on Intel is only supposed to run on Apple hardware, unless you've been doing some h4x0r stuff... :p
Anyone who's interested in this laptop, ITAS0R is a cool guy who is very trustworthy, AFAIK...

Forgot to mention that, as well. I have many resources on MR and a few on eBay.
