So as my thread title says, i can just install iLife from the included disk right?

Are you doing an upgrade or a fresh install of the OS? If you do an upgrade you lose no data. If you do a clean install you have to restore your data yourself, or from a Time Machine backup.

Or, if you prefer, you can install iLife from the disc. Thats what I have done. Updates will come via the MAS still...

Thanks, thats all i needed to know. Clean install is it for me! But still waiting for MAS to arrive :(
