Anyone having system slowdowns and hangups b/c of Mountain Lion?

I currently am running Lion on 4 GB of RAM & am afraid of system slowdowns & lockups b/c of ML's new notification centre & more demand from the CPU! 🙁

Anyone else feel my pain/worries?😕
 
Just after installation, I was having a lot of hangups and I'm running with 8gb of ram. A couple hours later things seemed to be better. Now everything seems fairly normal.
