Has Apple done away with the Activity window in Safari 6 ?

I used to like this feature but cant seem to see it any more.

Looks like it. My least favorite change in ML/Safari.

I haven't yet been able to find a simple way to get that functionality back. You can show the developer menu in preferences, but it is not as simple as the activity window...

Unfortunately it's gone... It was in some previous DPs but it didn't make it.
I loved it also... It was very useful tool...

Ah well that is a shame, it was well used here, wonder what the thinking was behind its removal.

They moved that functionality to web inspector. The problem is that the process that I used to use activity monitor for is an enormous pita in the new inspector. Very uncool. I submitted feedback to safari team begging them to bring activity monitor back.

It was for me. Are we not supposed to admit that? Because of this, Firefox got redownloaded and made it back to my Dock. Maybe some more screwing around with the web inspector will yield progress for me, but it doesn't look very promising.

Surely there must be a way to DL videos again in this ?hidden Activity Window without being forced to purchase 3rd party SW? I am looking hard at the new layout of Web Inspector under Develp menu. Must be here somewhere, yes? Keep looking everyone!

At the end I gave up on Safari. Used Chrome instead with this 1 click download all Flash video plugin.... Way more painless than Safari

http://download.cnet.com/Flash-Video-Downloader-for-Google-Chrome/3000-33362_4-75327988.html?tag=contentBody;pop

PS: to download click on direct download... not the big one with CNET support... that only support windows

Thank you the Google chrome with flash downloader is my new default browser.

First Apple screws every pro filmmaker with their new Final Cut X toy video editor and now they dumb down Safari...

I never used to feel Apple thought us user were dumb and stupid. Now they seem to depend on it.

For downloading YouTube videos, if you're using Safari and have ClickToFlash (http://hoyois.github.com/safariextensions/clicktoplugin/) installed, first try right-clicking the video to see if "Download Video" is an option. It should be if you're using the HTML5 trial.

You can also use ClipGrab (http://clipgrab.de/en) or KeepVid (http://keepvid.com/) or similar apps or sites.
