How to turn off the candidate window when using pinyin?

In OSX Lion, I used to turn off the option of having the candidate window when using pinyin so that I can include the "shengdiao"(intonation in terms of 1,2,3,4) to speed up my typing. Now in OSX Mountain Lion the option of turning off the candidate window is missing and I'm so annoyed by that.

Is there any way to turn off that candidate window?
