Community discussion needs a break from senseless bitching about politics. Discuss anything you want just no politics.

MALE/FEMALE DIFFERENCE IN DRIVING PATTERNS

latestheadlines.uknews

Women drivers 'more likely to hit stationary vehicles'

Researchers have found if a car hits a stationary vehicle or has a collision in a car park, there is a good chance the driver is a woman.

Female drivers are also more likely than men to reverse into another vehicle, it has been revealed.

But men are much more likely to hit an animal on the road or hit a wall or a tree, the findings from car insurance company Diamond shows.

In monetary terms, women have a better insurance claim record than men, says the company.

It found: Between 1999 and 2001, the average cost for a claim by male drivers was £2,156 and for women it was £1,790.

Women are 23% more likely to hit a stationary car than men were and females are twice as likely to have a collision in a car park.

Women are 15% more likely than men to reverse into another vehicle but men are 30% more likely to hit an animal on the road.

Men are 27% more likely to strike a barrier or wall and 16% more likely to hit a tree.

Male motorists are also more likely than women to have head-on collisions or accidents where they hit a pedestrian on a pavement.

"Our research shows that women have a different pattern of driving from men," said Diamond managing director Sian Lewis.

True. I do enjoy imagining the angst of the PC user who wanted to see Longhorn screenshots and spy pics of the new Dell Inspriron though ;)

What's really funny about that pic with the BMW. Is that all the newer BMWs including the one in the picture will give you a dash warning light if you start and drive the car with the fuel lid open. The only way to clear the light is to go to the BMW dealership and have them reset the computer. So guess where her next(embarrasing) stop probably was?

I know where you can find those here in Oregon also. I also know where you can get the very sought after, "Slippery When Wet," signs.

A side note, though, there is some unusual explicit material worth viewing/reading. :p
