When trying to use KeepHD and any of the other similar youtube downloading sites. I get the following error:

http://s12.postimage.org/t0ft4zlv1/Screen_Shot_2012_07_28_at_16_43_06.png

As you will notice - allow is greyed out.

I have the latest version of Java. It works fine when I go this test site:
http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp

Any ideas?

That is not a problem with Java on your computer. That is a problem with the site you are accessing. If you click on Show Details I bet it will say something about them using a bad or expired security certificate.

Might be safer trying an extension for Safari to snag your YouTube videos.

Certificate has not expired.

It says it is a self-signed root certificate.

Given that this is happening on all youtube download sites, I figured it had to be that self signed thing. I found that this was related to new security features. I followed the instructions (by the green check mark) part the way down the page:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11136805/java-applet-with-self-signed-certificate-on-os-x-mountain-lion

Everything OK now.
