Can't open "address book" update it-no contacts all are gone

M.l. Installed-now no address book or contact app. I trashed plist, ren disk utility etc., but can't get it to open.
Anyone--- any ideas ? Even went to app store looking for the app. Thought mabe I could reinstall or install.
