Did Apple think I just bought a new mac after upgrading to ML?

I received an email from Apple welcoming me to the new Mac. Well, all I did was upgrading & clean install my 2011 MBA. Just curious if you guys got the same email too?


If it is just me, it might explain why I can't see my previous Lion backup on my TM/Time Capsule...
 
You might have entered your email during the registration process after the clean install. That's probably why the email came.
 
I received the same email after setting mine up as new even though I unchecked the option to send me email.
