Hello guys,
I looked but couldn't find an answer to the following question..

I have a product that is sold on a independently on my website.
I would like to allow Iphone users to enjoy my service abilities, and therefore, I need to have a small application installed on the users device.

My question is:
Do I have to charge solely through the Appstore? Or can I allow the app to be downloaded free and the credits can be purchased on my site, or through the appstore?
I need to have the app installed, in order to make a better service, so working without an app is not an option.

Thanks for anybody who helps!! :)

Look at Kindle from Amazon as sample. You can't process any transaction through you app without sharing with Apple.
But you can download content from your site to iDevice as long the full transaction is handled outside Apple Ecosystem. no problem. You can even mix but at the same price to my understanding.

But the best thing is: contact Apple via your development account and verify with them; I didn't recently read the details.
