I wanted to run an app from a non-identified developer, so I changed my security settings to allow me to run apps from anywhere. Then after using the app for whatever I needed, I changed my settings back to the default (only App Store and Identified Developers). However, I can still run that old app. Was it put on a white list because I launched it? How do I reset the "whitelist", so that non-signed app can't be run anymore?

I don't know about resetting the whitelist, but if you right-click on an app and select "Open" it will open that app with a confirmation dialog, even when Gatekeeper is still enabled. Should save you a few clicks ;)

Wow that kind of removes the entire point of Gatekeeper, doesn't it?
