View Full Version : Apple ID is locked for security reasons.

For some reason I could not get into my account. When I give my ID and password, I'm told it's been locked for security reasons and to use iForgot.com to reset the password. I did so, typed in the new password at the signing page, and again the ID was locked for security reasons.

Do we have to do this repeatedly until it works, or wait a day for the system to take? Obviously, I can't ask Apple in Support, because that requires an Apple ID :)

Most likely it has something to do with App Annie: http://www.appannie.com/blog/current-issue-affecting-analytics-users/

If you used your original Apple ID, wait until they fix the problem. Then set up a special id that only has access to your sales data in iTunes Connect and use that with all your analytics and sales data providers instead of your regular id.

It IS due to App Annie. App Annie is slowly starting data collection again. Make sure you create a iTunes Connect Sub-User with access only to the sales role. It helps avoid this confusion!
