View Full Version : So What's Next After Mighty Mouse?
Mr. Anderson

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks the name is a bit silly - bringing back memories of "Here he comes to save the day!"
Other wacky-superhero-cartoon-names-as-products:
Underdog - the Apple Brand UPS that fits nicely under your desk.
AdamAnt - the new indestructible iPod case.
AquaMan - a new sports version of the iPod Suffle that is waterproof.
Any one got some others?

SuperTed (http://www.jedisparadise.co.uk/index.htm?childrenstv/Superted/Superted.htm&1) - the children's iPod shaped like a cuddly bear
The Clangers (http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/classic/clangers/) - electronic drums to plug into Garageband
Flumps (http://www.jedisparadise.co.uk/index.htm?childrenstv/Flumps/Flumps.htm&1) - uses Core Image technology to distort images in real time
tho I suspect they are very British references. ;)
EDIT - The Clangers has video clips - well worth watching - although I guess they're not traditional superheroes. They did always manage to save their little world though - and you wonder why the Brits have such an odd sense of humour. :p

Yeah, I'll second that one :D
Clangers and Flumps sound a little less like super-heroes and more like odd names someone might have for bodily functions....

Well, if you follow the analogy that R2-D2 is the Grommit to C3P0's Wallace, then R2-D2 is the sidekick.
But then again, if you follow the analogy that R2-D2 is the Silent Bob to C3P0's Jay, then C3P0 is the sidekick. Or is he?

But in SW IV, who led who around? I think its the stereotype of the tall, skinny character with the short fat one. Abbot and Costello? Also, C3P0 was eloquent where R2D2 talked in beeps and whistles (also, C3P0 was the straight man to R2 D2)
But we're getting off topic here :D

Unfortunatly, I'm not really into superheroes and can't think of anything. :(
I think for a big corportation the name Mighty Mouse is a bit silly, but awhile back I bought Mighty Mouse pajamas and a wallet, with a very cute little mouse on them, so I'm inclined to like the name. The pajamas have been sitting in a drawer for some time, but I actually wore them last night, inspired by the introduction of Apple's new mouse (I'm such a geek).
Here are some picture of the adorable Mighty Mouse (and his girlfriend)
