My wife recently got an iPad and we are trying to migrate photos from our PC and MBA to the iPad, but so far no success. Does anyone know a simple way to do this? Thanks.

You can use iCloud's Photostream feature.
You can use iPhoto wireless feature (but then you need to pay for the iOS app).
Or you can simply sync within iTunes.
