As usual with the OS upgrade my Linux NAS as a backup destination is once again broken. Usually there is a quick fix posted online somewhere, however with this round, so far I can't find any assistance online as to how to fix it. I've been backing up to this device for years.

Anyhow, the weird thing is that the volume is seen in Time Machine preferences (it is chosen as the backup target) and I can even mount it and restore my old backups. However I cannot create new backups. The error is afpfs fsctl failed to read settings: 45 Operation not supported

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

With my Netgear ReadyNAS I had issues starting the first backup after installing ML until I just wiped the entire sparse bundle and restarted the TM backup as if it were brand new. (I had a fresh TM backup on a USB drive as well, so I was protected against disaster)
