Hi,
I just got a scratch (indent) on my 4 week old MBA :(.
I was using a USB key with a metal housing (http://images.numerama.com/img/s/h558646-360-360-kingston-datatraveler-101-g2-16go.jpg) and it did scratch my laptop.
I am surprised the anodized surface is so fragile (cause I got this scratch when the metal housing touched the surface of the MBA) and I am wondering if there is something I can do ...
Thanks for the feedback ....

It's powder coating, which is a type of paint. True anodized aluminum wouldn't scratch so easily. Unfortunately you're just going to have to live with it - there's no good way to patch it up. It doesn't look that bad though, and it's on the side of the machine. Nobody will see it.

Ok. That is why it can scratch so easily.
I know nobody will see it (but I can see it :-) ).

Have a good cry and move on with your life. It doesn't make your laptop any slower.

Ok I will cry :-)
Still, it looks like the powder coating layer is extremely fragile
