I accidentally deleted an application from my dock and now I can't find it anywhere on my computer. I looked through the application folder and it isn't there. I also ran a few searches to no prevail. Does anyone have an idea of where it went?

If you delete an item from the Dock, it shouldn't have been actually deleted from your HDD, as the Dock is just a placeholder for shortcuts.

To find system files via Finder, that can't be found via Spotlight:

Items that appear on the Dock are not applications, but only aliases (shortcuts) to apps. If you've searched your entire drive for the app, it sounds like it may be gone. To make sure you're searching everywhere, use the instructions in the following link.
Yeah I did all of that. It was Skyrim. I played it a few weeks ago after making the shortcut on my dock by dragging the icon from the application folder to the dock. The only files that are showing up are the skyrim preferences which won't open. I guess I must have unintentionally deleted the actual game at some point? I'll just have to reinstall I guess.
