The company I just left that I worked at for two years just last week reached 300% turnover in the same amount of time (and that is AFTER) I left.

coincidence?

I just find it amazing - no coincidence, the publisher is a nutcase, but to think of it in numerical terms is mind boggling.

3 people in every position in two years.

Doctor Q would love this thread.

I left a position in a small business two years ago. The same position was replaced an average of just under every two years for 15 years running. I didn't feel so bad about myself.

I was the third managing editor in two years...the third art director was fired last week (the one before that was fired two months prior <well, I tipped him off that they were interested in ditching him as he worked remotely, and when they called to renegotiate his contract, he left right in the middle of deadline>). The third GM will probably disintegrate the company she is so stupid...

A quote :

"I took such and such from 400,000 circulation to 2,000,000."

She increased a local junk mailer freebie, and our publisher thought it was genious. FREE - you know GIVE AWAY, JUNK MAIL not a yearly book that costs $40.00?

Amyone have any interesting stories form places they have worked?

Place i work for has two stores at Navy Pier one is a souvenir store, the other is a specialty store, i have been working with them off and on since the summer of 2002..... they have gone through five or six store managers in that time.... sometimes a manager would take care of both stores (since they are next door to one another) and now they have switched to one manager per store, and i dont think things are looking too well for the one right now....
