Hey everyone, I made a menu using CSS and html unordered lists and it has a drop down menu (a nested unordered list inside one of the HTML li 's ). Right under the drop down menu is a dreamweaver spry UI slideshow.

Without z-index, when you hover over the drop down link, the drop down part is hidden under the slideshow. However by giving the li that contains the drop down links a z-index of 100 and then giving the slideshow a z-index of 50, it seemed to make the drop down come over the slideshow, as it should.
This works in all browsers except Internet Explorer 7 and under.

Why? and how do I fix this? I want the drop down menu to be overtop of the slideshow in IE 7 and all the other browsers.

(I hate IE, however some people still use it, and I want it to work for them too)

please help me fix this bug,
thanks
