View Full Version : My 1,500th post!
LimeiBook86

I can't believe I've been here so long  It seems like yesterday when I first got my avatar after struggling forever to get 500 posts. I'd like to thank everyone here because you've all been nice and friendly to me and I couldn't of asked for a cooler place to hang out and chat. I decided rather than posting in a random discussion about my 1,500th post I'd do this here so it wouldn't be considered spam (well maybe it still is but, meh!)
Here's to 1,500 more!!
Thanks!
-Steven :D

Congrats. I know how difficult it can sometimes feel to reach the 500 posts milestone.

Mr. Anderson has the most undoubtedly and will certainly remain in the top spot for some time, im number 30 or so i believe....
there is a way to do a search for members by post count, but i don't know how to post a link to the search results.....

Here's the list (http://forums.macrumors.com/memberlist.php?postslower=0&postsupper=0&ausername=&homepage=&icq=&aim=&yahoo=&msn=&joindateafter=&joindatebefore=&lastpostafter=&lastpostbefore=&order=DESC&sort=posts&pp=30<r=)
Tho this kind of post usually is classed as spam since the last thing the forum needs is everyone posting every time they hit a posting milestone. People should just edit that milestone mark post if they want to mark it since generally, it's of far more interest to the individual than the community as a whole. ;)

Congrats but this is my 2000th post. Many of your whipper-snappers may have your post counts above mine, but let's see you beat my join date, 06-22-2001.

Hehe, just checked, and I got over 1,500 posts. I don't really pay attention to my postcount after getting the avatar. The most I've ever posted at any forum was somewhere around 4,500 posts. That forum went down and out unfortunately.

Hey Raven - I know it's somewhat off-topic, but seeing as this is pretty much a non-topic thread...
I've been meaning to ask for some time now (it was going round my head when i was putting out laundry to dry, for some reason  ) - what is a "spoony bard"? Some kind of Shakespearean cutlery?

Read this (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=37092) thread. And for future referrence, reading those stickies and FAQ's at the top of each forum disscussion area really is helpful-- not just to you, but to others who may have already answered the question many times. ;)

don't quote me on this but i seem to remeber this as an insult in a video game. i'm not sure though. it cracks me up either way.

Haha, no. It's a quote from a video game, Final Fantasy III (Final Fantasy IV in Japan). It was said by a character named Tellah, and as cussing in video games was taboo back then, the translators turned whatever the cuss word was in Japanese into "spoony".

I can't believe this thread hasn't been wastelanded yet. No offense LimeBook as you're a great guy, but creating a thread just to brag about, well, your post count, is considered spam. ;) Can you imagine if everyone did this? Heck, I didn't even make a big deal when I hit 5000 posts and became a 601, and there are only about 7 of us or so in existence!
All that being said, congrats, (I can understand why you're so excited), and it's been great having on you in the Forums. :)

But I applaud the mods for letting it go for a while. Let everyone get it out of their systems, then trash the thing.

actually its Samus Aran of Metroid fame, it is the main character in the video game, the 'tar is a picture of her visor with a reflection of her vaguely showing up as well
