Mountain Lion - Freezes after profile login

I get stuck on the grey screen after I click on my profile and login. Anyone know of a way to to create another clean profile?

I've tried safe mode, and still same issue. Root is disabled.
I've cleared cashes (both user and global)

I do have access to the Recovery Console.

Since there is only one user on the machine, not sure how to troubleshoot. Would be much easier if I had created a second user in advance in case.

Wow I just realized it's not actually frozen completely, after about 10 minutes of a grey screen, it suddenly loads the profile

Also I managed to created an admin profile (aka clean), and the same behaviour happens.

How can I figure out what service, driver or app is causing the huge load wait?
