Problem with Firefox - Help

Hi, I am having a problem when I use Firefox. Everytime I put the cursor over the "bookmarks" the machine crashes. I installed it 3 times and I am having the same problem every time. Can someone help me?
I am running Tiger and the same thing happened with Panther

If you're talking about the toolbar bookmarks, you may have an old theme that needs to be destroyed. You could try repairing permissions through Disk Utility, if you haven't done that recently.
 
Thanks, I repaired the disk permissions and it still does not work. You are right, I meant to say the "bookmarks" in the toolbar of Firefox

Can somenone help me here. Thanks
