How to turn off ads when playing apps on iphone 4s

Hello,
I have 4S with IOS 5.1 on it, when I am playing apps for example tom cat, there are some ads shows up all sudden and i had to close them to continue playing what I am playing.
Is there any way to block these ? I see mostly to buy other apps, upgrade and other ads.
