So what might be a good asking price on this:

15" Powerbook, Rev. C (still have the original box, minus UPC)

1.5 ghz
512 RAM
Backlit Keyboard
Combo Drive
80 GB HDD @ 5400 RPM
64 MB video memory
Upgraded to Tiger (discs and all would be included)

I also have just under two years left on Applecare with this thing, so take that into account. It's in very good condition, save one small scratch on the cover, but I'm easily bothered by such things. Is $2100-$2000 too high, considering the same machine now would be about $2350 with the almost exact same specs? I'm just no good at pricing, etc. lol. I'm thinking of buying a Cinema Display and a 12" PB to get a bit more portability...thanks for the feedback :D

I hate replying to people's Marketplace threads saying their price is too high. So I never do it. However, you asked. :o

I purchased almost that exact machine from another MR member about 2 months ago.

1.33 ghz
1GB RAM
Backlit Keyboard
Combo Drive
80 GB HDD @ 5400 RPM
64 MB video memory
Upgraded to Tiger (discs and all would be included)

I also recieved AppleCare, iLife 05 and an additional power adapter for $1850.

Ok, so it sounds like at least $2100 is too high, but I think $2000, give or take a bit would be reasonable? Considering there's Apple Care on there for two years which is usually $350 tacked on top of everything else, plus the nominally higher processor speed than Michael's buy, I think that might work...thoughts?

I think this is a fair price. Someone who qualifies for EDU discount can snag that machine without the RAM upgrade for $1800... however you then have to add tax so it brings it up into the $1900 range and then Applecare puts it past $2200 easy. This thing is a great deal considering the ram upgrade and Applecare.

Sooooooo...if I were to, in theory, put this bugger up for sale, would anyone out there be interested? I'm not 100% positive that I'm going to sell at this point (the thought just really came to me this morning :p ), but if there's an interested party, I'd definitely take the offer into serious consideration. $2000 sounds equitable for a price; if you act soon, I might be persuaded to add incentives (!). So, PM or post away!!!
