Does anyone have any idea when the 2012 MBA refurbs are expected to be available? The 2012 MBP refurbs are on sale already but I'd prefer to get an MBA. Also what's the expected price range for the 2012 MBA refurbs?

Thanks in advance

I went to the Apple refurb store and saw ONE 2012 MBP there.

The 2012 MBP I saw was a 13" base model for $1019. A non-refurb model with the same specs is $1199. That's $180 off or a 15% discount.

That's ok if you want a VERY specific model.

Yeah that basic MBP model is okay, but like I said I'd prefer the MBA. took like what 1-2 months for that MBP to come up in the refurb store, any idea when the MBA may come?

Hell, even Best Buy (if I'm not mistaken) has $50 off the base Pro and Air prices and if you qualify for the educational printout coupon (pretty much submit your .edu email address and show them your school ID), it's another $100 off for a pre-tax cost of ~$1050. Not too shabby if the refurb price is $1019.

That price changes every Sunday. I've seen it at 50, 70, and 100 off. The student discount has been static 100 tho. You can get a new one as low as 999, a bit less if best buy open box.

I got my macbook air 2012 11' i5 4gb 128gb ssd for $949 at bestbuy during the tax free weekend. I used the educational discount ($100 off the price) plus I used the price that was set at the apple website (with the student discount $1049).

I'm in Canada and can't find anything about their student discount online :S
