It's not actually brighter it's the angle the photograph was taken at. The signs are not equally bright in all areas from all angles.

Speaking of bathing in a boat, has anyone been to the World Championship Bathtub Race held every July in Nanaimo, BC, Canada?

The rules of the Loyal Nanaimo Bathtub Society (http://bathtub.island.net/) say that "each entry must contain a component which conforms to the general shape and design of an old style roll edge bathtub as commonly known and recognized."

It is great fun (I've been there) and I recommend making at least one pilgrimage there per lifetime.

(Only one of the towers had an antenna) I have to admit I didn't think of that.
I'd only be saying this based on my memory, but that doesn't look like downtown Manhatten, I could be wrong.

Oh, god... I can't believe I forgot about the Empire State Building! I didn't think the antenna in the photo (w/ the two guys) looked the same as the WTC antenna. The major thing that bugged me was that the area around the building in the photo really didn't look like the Financial District of NYC.

I've been known to doctor photos for a laugh, and the "large cat" photo looks suspiciously pixelated. However, I'm sure it's real; someone simply found a half-size man, built a half-size room complete with half-size books on the half-size bookcase, and then photographed a normal cat so it we'd mistake it for an oversized cat. :) :) :)

Poor quality pictures do not usually mean pixelation like that if taken directly from even a halfway decent camera at such a small size. Either everything would looked smeared or discolored.

Please people I know there are a lot of pages here but you realize that every duplicate image you post takes up another 100K of server space? This can add up over time.

Guys, there is this button called IMG above the space where you type in what you plan to post. Use it.

Copy the link of the image, click on the IMG button, and paste the link. This way, almost no space is used up on the server. Even if there is a duplicate, it's not a whole 40K or 80K attachment. Plus, it saves a great deal of time, as well as multiple posts.

MacBandit, you may not be coming down on anyone, but a funny picture is still a funny picture. And that is why I plan to remember every time you mention a certain pic was on one of the many pages of this thread.

Sometimes the pic is on the computer and not on the web so it's easier to just post an attachment rather than upload it somewhere and then use the IMG tags and yada yada....

"You won't believe this story. My sister-in law is from Oklahoma and has a slight accent. She has cats and when she lived in the south she would take them to the groomers and have what is called a Line Cut. To her a Line Cut is when all of the fur hanging down below the cat's tummy is taken off (because it gets matted or snarled). When she moved to Chicago with my brother, one of the cats fur got all tangled up during the move so she took it in for a Line Cut. She was quite surprised when she heard the price was twice as much as it was down south. She confirmed with the groomer that he understood what a Line Cut was and he said 'yes, I know what a LION cut is.' It seems her accent came out sounding like LION instead of LINE and this is how her cat was returned to her. [NOW LOOK AT THE PICTURES]. She cried for a week, but not as much as the cat. It was November in Chicago and it needed all the fur it had.

I have a great dog, Marley. Here's a normal pic, the follow pics will be of her after she got bit on a jowl by a spider, her face blowing up to huge proportions. The other pics were taken after we went to the vet and had spent some time there, so you're actually seeing her after much benedryl and a good bit of the swelling having gone down. At one point you could hardly see her eyes.

Just so you all know, she was fine and never really in any pain or suffering. After she was bit, she came over to my wife and I and started rubbing her head on the couch, cause it was itchy....then we saw her and my wife freaked. When we got home from the vet I was still laughing a bit and took the opportunity to get the pics.

We like to call her a Carolina Squirrel Hound, but she's actually a cross between a Jack Russell and some sort of Blue Tick Coon Hound mix, probably Coon Hound and Lab/Retriever. She's medium size ~50 lbs and the best dog I've ever had (#3).
