if a mod went through and deleted duplicate posts and comments about duplicate posts it would be a lot shorter. but itll never happen...

ha! Well, we're not needing anyone now.....just got Rower.

And this thread barely manages to keep open, it would be very interesting to see what happened if I moved it into the wasteland......

Well, the funny pics thread has just become a spamming vehicle, sort of, with the majority of the posts coming from a few individuals.

Basing its relative worth is difficult though, given the overall quality of posts in the Community Forums.....however, there haven't been any complaints yet - but it is a total waste of space and bandwidth. If it gets too big we might shut it down and eventually start up another one.

But a question for the regulars on this thread - what purpose does it serve? Its true that no one is going to go through all the posts, its not practical. And going out and finding 'funny' pics isn't that productive since there are so many.

I wouldn't mind seeing the whole thread wiped out and started over.

I just enjoy seeing some of the more comical posts but as of late a lot of them have been really lacking in the humor department.

nuke it for bandwith reasons

the desktop threads are cool because those are for the period of one month. ive never seen a MR thread that has had so many pictures to it. you open up a page to look at the last picture that was posted and you have to load all the pics again...

but you're right about this thread being an exercise in futility. what's the point anyways? all this stuff IS on the internet an many pictures here are circulated regularly or appear with a certain frequency. i say if you want to look at funny pictures then go to a site that has them...let them serve the bandwith. macbandit is right about the shît/funny ratio, too.

ppl bickering about duplicate posts and unfunny posts wastes time and space...not everybody goes through the whole thing-- which u can't force ppl to do.

I will admit that within the last month I only went through whole thread once. wanted to try to remember them so as not to post duplicates.

I enjoy looking for the funny pictures, also enjoy looking at them. Each time I enter the thread I review the current page!

I happen to find the majority funny, the at least bring a smile! ;) :) :p That is afterall what life is all about.

It would be find with me if you were to close this thread, but please allow or start a new thread. Is that a pobbobility? ;)

Where'd that come from? The other window style?

Went and changed that myself and it works much better than it did last time I tried it so many months ago - also got a new Radeon 8500 which probably helps.

When I view it I get post count and such - you do a little editing there and are trying to taunt?

I was just wondering, is this the first "funny pictures thread", or has there been others?

maybe its time to clean it out. there are a lot of duplicates. but that would take a lot of time. so i see why no body would want to do it.
