There are some subtleties to it, but I think it looks great! Thanks to AQUADock for the ML theme! :D

Yep. 137F is about the average idle temperature of a G5's CPU on a warm summer night in Philadelphia.

This is in fact a G4! It idles at about the this temperature, and the fans start to become audible at 138. I'm happy with it. Still have yet to find out why the MDD is nicknamed the wind tunnel. :p

Close enough. I do know that Mac Pro's don't idle at that temperature. Depending on what revision MDD you have, you'll know why. If it is one of the later ones, you'll never know why.

What I want is a dock with the icons looking lke brushed aluminum to match the g5 case.

It happens to be a later model 2003 version. It uses the dual 7455B revision chips whereas the other models use the 7455A. The B variant runs cooler and is easier to overclock. Love this beast.

They're definitely easy to overclock. Took me 5 minutes to overclock my 1.42GHz FW800 MDD to 1.5GHz. It hasn't locked up once since the overclock.

Just use some icon sets such as these, and there are still many more available.

If your using Leopard then use LeopardDock's handy little app. I have a Tron Dock now. I saw a ML one that's pretty brushed. It's reflective. You might want matte, I don't know your tastes. But, there are others on their site, too. I'm sure you'll find something.

Again, you need Leopard, though.

I hold Tiger to be the ultimate, somehow making Leopard and Tiger look like Mountain Lion seems wrong.

This is true. It's disgustingly muggy out right now in Philly, and my G5 is at 130 and 130 for CPUs 1 and 2 respectively.
