I am trying to install XP on my mac via boot camp. I run the assistant and get the following,... After the 'new helper tool' is installed my only option is to quit, I do not get to the next screen where I can select the size of my partition and install windows.

I believe that's supposed to happen. Did you relaunch Bootcamp Assistant after you quit the driver installation?
