BT Mouse - Is this right?

About 2 months ago I bought my Powerbook, and with it I got the single button optical BT Apple mouse. Put the batteries in the mouse right when I got home. I've been using it since (rarely even throw the switch to shut it off) and even today, right now, when I go to System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Bluetooth, under Bluetooth Mouse my mouse appears with a 5-bar battery meter, showing FULL! Maybe this is normal battery life for this mouse but I am truly amazed that it has not gone down even one bar of battery life.

So what's the scoop? You think the meter is wrong? Does this mouse not support the battery meter feature or something? Later today I'll probably put in some known-dead AA's and see what it shows. Just curious what you guys thought about this and if it is typical.

No, that's normal.

The "scoop" is that it is supplied with lithium batteries, which last a lot longer than standard alkaline batteries. They are also significantly more expensive of course (well they are here in the UK).

That's the stupidest thing you could do. It's obviously a miracle, like finding free pay-per-view-porn on your TV, you don't change anything. If you want to watch another channel just buy a second TV.

If you're getting more than four weeks out of your batteries in a BT mouse tell no-one and keep your curtains drawn. It's probably too late and any minute now a pink bunny's going to burst through your window and beat you too death with drumsticks.

I was also amazed at how long the lithium batteries lasted in my BT mouse.
The green power bar was full after weeks and weeks of use.
But when it did lose power it went from 5 bars down to 2 immediately, and stopped functioning within minutes of warning me the batteries were low.

So, although it show a full charge, it might not be the case.
