So i got my new iBook and have been joyfully playing around with it. I have noticed a number of times that the battery kind of hangs out a little bit, were talking centimeters here, and isn't he ibook supposed to be built where it doesn't have anything able to be broken off, and has a clean, smooth case?
I mean this is my ONLY complaint, and was wondering what i should do ( I AM NOT USING TAPE! ;) ) ... does anyone else experience this?
Thanks!
If you would like me to take a pic, that's no problem.

I've never seen an iBook with a totally flush battery. They all fit so-so. Centimeters seems like an awful lot, though... mine's off by a mm or less.

Centimetres? You serious? The battery is hanging out an inch or more? Doesn't sound good to me. Sounds like shoddy manufacture, or else you're exaggerating slightly.

ditto, my pb battery sits off a bit just like you described.
as long as its not noticeable at 5', and doesn't effect the performance, i don't care. nothing is perfect.
if you're that anal, try playing around with the shims and springs for the battery.

You mean like this? That's very similar to mine... I think all iBooks are like that... I don't have a digital camera with macro function, and I really cannot be bothered to take a shot with APS and get that developed just to get a very similar picture... ;)
To the OP: It's normal, just try to ignore it... :)

My replacement battery under the iBook/PB battery replacement program fit perfectly with my iBook at first. Then it became like in the picture. So it's normal.
