Minimizing to the right of Trash

Tonight, I minimized a few web pages, like I always do, but I noticed that they somehow minimized to the right of the trash can on the dock. Now, everything that I minimize is doing this, and i didn't change anything to make it do this. Has anybody had this happen before? What did you do to stop it?

Weird – I've never seen the Dock do anything like that before. I take it you're not running any third-party Dock apps?

I tried logging out once, but it didn't help. I'm in the middle of some work at the moment, but as soon as I'm done, I'll try again.
 
Well, okay. Logging out and logging back in the second time seems to have done the trick. Strange all the way around.......

no problem.... strange that it did that though.....
 
I wonder what the greater implications of this is. A greater Finder bug? Who knows, but it's definitly worth reporting to Apple as a "bug".
